WHO AM I? GREAT QUESTION

Wife. Mom of four incredible powerhouse girls. Marketing leader. Master Resilience Trainer. Advocate. Dog mom to a German Shepherd and Golden Doodle.

That's the short version. The real answer is a lot more layered — and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I am just a
woman living life.

MY STORY

The woman
behind the work.

Marketing strategist by profession. Advocate by necessity. Storyteller by conviction.

I am known for:

✦ Leading with truth

✦ Championing the underdog

✦ Sweating the details

✦ Creating meaningful impact

I'm Jusika — just a woman living life. I am also a wife to an Officer in the Army National Guard, a mom and role model to four incredible powerhouse girls (three of my own and one stepdaughter), and a seasoned marketing and communications professional with 17+ years of experience in the SaaS space.

By day, I build impactful marketing strategies that connect the right message to the right audience. I specialize in enterprise Account-Based Marketing (ABM), and my career spans the Federal Government, nonprofits, agencies, and SaaS — always with a focus on driving measurable growth.

But my passion doesn't stop at the workplace. Outside of marketing, I'm a committed advocate for mental health and for children in military families who have experienced sexual assault in daycare facilities or on DoD installations. For the past seven years, I've worked to amplify their stories and push for systemic reform within the Department of Defense.

I also serve as a Master Resilience Trainer for the Department of the Air Force, where I help others strengthen their emotional fitness, navigate adversity, and build lasting resilience — tools I've relied on throughout my own journey through motherhood, trauma, healing, and growth.

"Where you are today is only a small stepping stone until your next biggest adventure!" — JUSIKA SMITH

Whether I'm leading a campaign, parenting with intentionality and purpose, showing up in my marriage, or speaking out for those without a voice — my goal is always the same: to lead with truth, create meaningful impact, and leave the world better than I found it.

HOW I GOT HERE

I first started writing online back in 2007, when my very own baby website was open, and I was living in Italy and preparing myself for my first daughter. Since then, I've kept returning to words — sharing the tiniest chapters of my life: the beauty of birth, the heartbreak of multiple pregnancy loss, the grief of losing my labor and delivery roommate to suicide a few years later, the birth of my second daughter, my own brush with death after my third delivery, and all the messy ways I've been finding life in myself since.

Over time, people have told me how these stories helped them feel less alone or gave them courage in their own season of struggle. That is humbling beyond measure. And so here I am — still writing, still stumbling, still trying to embrace what life has handed me with as much grace and grit as I can muster.

The internet found me first

Why put vulnerable stuff out there?

Because everything I've walked through has been a lesson — first for me, and maybe for someone else too. I share because I believe in the power of stories. When we see ourselves reflected in someone else's struggle, it reminds us that we're not alone. And sometimes just knowing we're not the only one makes the weight a little lighter and the healing a little easier.

WHAT I STAND FOR

My Core Values

I believe in the power of authenticity and vulnerability with soundness. Real connection starts with being real.

Authenticity

Growth

I believe in continuous personal and professional growth. Stagnation is not an option.

I am known for sweating the details — from what you file to who else we need to meet. Excellence lives in the specifics.

Details

Adaptability

Life has given me diverse experiences in change. I am always willing to accept and adapt quickly.

The Underdog

I often champion causes for those who are least likely to speak for themselves. If not me, then who?

Change

Whether it's big or small, change is good and inevitable. I lean into it rather than away from it.
